South Africa's Limpopo province contains some of the most beautiful
bushveld in the country and also includes the Waterberg and Soutpansberg Mountain ranges.
Hiking and Backpacking trails can be found in all lengths and varieties. Areas such as
Magoebaskloof, and the Soutpansberg Mountains contain many of the trails run by
Komatiland Forestry. In addition there are quite a number of both Day and Backpacking
Trails situated on private farms and game reserves.

Some of the Nature Reserves in Limpopo Province also contain some lovely
day walks such as the Musina Nature Reserve with its giant Baobab Trees The winter
months are generally the easiest for doing any of the longer trails. The temperatures
are mild reaching the mid 20's and there is very little chance of rainfall. The summer
months get quite hot and humid, but the vegetation is greener and there are usually many
streams and pools of water.
