The Komatiland Forestry Museum tells the story of the forestry industry that makes up so much of this part of Mpumalanga. The exhibits cover both old and modern tools used in the forestry industry. The story of managing such an industry is also detailed, as well as the various types of wood and makeup of a tree. There is also a disc of a 250 year old Yellow Wood tree to be seen in the museum which is situated virtually in the center of Sabie.

The museum is definitely worth a visit if you are in the Sabie area. Anyone that has ever been to Mpumalanga will know that the forestry industry covers huge tracks of land. It's a fact that South Africa has the worlds largest cultivated plantations which also seem to act as an attraction for tourism, especially the Sabie, Grasskop and Pilgrimsrest areas.
