One of the many waterfalls in Mpumalanga's Sabie region, Lone Creek Falls is particularly
spectacular after some good rains. The area is surrounded by dense vegetation which seems to be
fed by the continues spray from the waterfall. The Lone Creek falls are 68m in height with a deep
pool at the base. There are ablution facilities and stone picnic tables close to the parking lot.
The paths leading up to the falls and around them are all paved.

The area around Sabie is frequently shrouded in mist and rain is quite common, but the road
leading up to the falls is completely tarred. The falls are quite spectacular to watch and
definitely worth a visit. There is ample parking available. A short walk through the dense
vegetation and one comes to the foot of the waterfall. Watch out for your camera with all the
spray. The path can get quite slippery as well. The cliff face around the falls are quite
interesting as well with their layers of sedimentary rock.
